Hiring – Summer Interns!

Deckci Décor is an event décor rental company that provides high quality décor to hundreds of weddings and special events each year. We have won numerous awards, including Best of Weddings by The Knot and Wedding Wire Couples Choice. We are looking for interns that are interested in learning more about the event industry. The internship can easily turn into a job with your drive, ambition and talent in doing a great job.

 

There are two positions available and we need Interns to make a commitment of at least 2 days per week and a minimum of 6 hours per day.

 

Administrative Internship- Filing, copying, answering the phones, data entry, etc

 

Marketing & Event Management Internship – manage our social media, develop our online presence, attend networking event(s), assist with event set-ups and take downs, sit in on client meetings, develop new marketing materials, identify potential partners and new opportunities.

 

What we need in our interns:

- Smart, efficient, and ON TIME!

- Have a cheerful disposition, and be able to go with the flow.

- Be flexible and know how to multitask. These are essentials in this industry.

- Can learn our organizational system and keep it current.

- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

- Know how to utilize social media effectively: Facebook, Pinterest, and WordPress

This internship is ideal for those interested in the event industry, wedding planning, event management, and venue sales.

 

We offer interns:

*Stipend of $300 per month ($600 if working at least 4 days per week, min of 6 hours)

*School credit (if applicable)

*A recommendation letter will also be provided to outstanding interns at the end of term

*Networking opportunities to meet others in the event industry

Deckci is hiring!

We are hiring 1-2 event assistants to help with putting together event orders, delivering, installing, and tearing down events. This is a part-time position this Fall/Winter with the potential for full-time in the Spring/Summer for the right person. This position requires the ability to lift 25 pounds, stand for long periods of time, and climb ladders. Must have weekend availability. Preference given to those with previous event experience. Event staff pay range is $10-$12 per hour, depending on experience.
